How to have a successful application
Whether you've taught before or you're coming to teaching online with no experience here is everything you need to know about applying to EF Teach Online.
What you need to apply
Tell us all about yourself
Prepare yourself and have these documents ready to upload into our online form. PDF is the best format.
TEFL or ESL teaching certificate (if available)
Ace your video call
Speak to our recruitment team and see if we're a good match for you.
Get your offer and start teaching!
Sign your contract, complete your online training, meet your mentor and get to know the teaching platform. Once complete, you’re ready to teach. Don’t worry, our UK team will be there with you every step of the way.
Get your 40-hour TEFL Certificate
TEFL stands for “Teaching English as a Foreign Language”, and it is a standard certification for English teachers. You can start working on your certification while you apply, or our team is happy to share their knowledge of available courses.
Please note, the cost of your TEFL will not be reimbursed.
Provide a certified background check
As we are working with young learners, we require all teachers to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring (DBS) Check. Please don’t apply for your DBS check before applying to teach with us. Our team are here to help you with this as part of the recruitment process.
The full cost of the DBS Check will be refunded after you’ve completed 50 hours of teaching.
