EF Stories: Lore from Belgium at EF Nice

My name is Lore and in the summer of 2017 I went to sunny Nice for two weeks with EF. After this amazing experience, I decided to become an EF ambassador and share my stories with other students.
EF Stories: Lore from Belgium at EF Nice

I stayed in Nice for two weeks with EF, but I really would have liked to stay longer. During the tour on the first day, they told me that I would go back home in tears and that was indeed the case, because it was such an amazing experience and I really didn't want to leave to go home.

EF campus on the beach

The EF campus was close to the beach, so I was able to bike to school via the bike path next to the Promenade des Anglais by the sea. Most students took the bus, but I just loved taking the bike and enjoying the fresh sea air at the Promenade des Anglais.

General French course

I took the EF General course, which gave me a perfect combination of learning and relaxing. For example, after class I went straight to the beach with my friends, since all you had to do was walk out of the street and you were already there. So I could combine the lessons with a real beach vacation. The lessons were also a lot of fun and educational. I learned a lot during those two weeks.

Activities outside of class

Nice is really a beautiful city and there is a lot to do. At night it is very enjoyable to walk around the old part of the city or sit on a terrace, the temperature is also very pleasant. When I was there, it didn't even rain once! There is something for everyone, so you can go shopping, visit museums, go to the park or the beach, ... and above all, there is good food everywhere!

My experience with EF in Nice

In the beginning I was very afraid of what was to come, but on the first day of school I had already made new friends and a huge burden fell off my shoulders. Because of the different nationalities at the school, you also get to know many different cultures. I met a lot of nice people in a short time who I am still in contact with. In short, I really had an unforgettable adventure in Nice. It was hard to say goodbye.

If you are still afraid to embark on such a big adventure, no worries, because really everything will be fine! The other students are in the same situation and, like you, want to have an unforgettable time and make new friends. As a result, everyone is open to getting to know and helping each other. So above all, be social, open up and you are guaranteed to have a great time!
