    At EF International Academy Torbay, students enjoy a life that is full, active and rewarding, both in and outside the classroom. Our range of clubs and activities enables students to make the most of their time here.

    EF International Academy Torbay nurtures individual talent and encourages students to strive for academic and personal excellence, and as a result, our students possess an impressive record of achievements and successes.

    • Winner of UK Further Math Team Challenge
    • Gold medal in the UK Senior Mathematical Challenge
    • 34% of our students achieving grades AAA or higher in A-level exams
    • Top UK university acceptances from University of Cambridge, London School of Economics, Imperial College London, University College London and University of Warwick
    • A very impressive 7 acceptances for Medicine and Dentistry, considering an overall acceptance
    rate of 2% for medical schools.

    Academic projects
    EF International Academy Torbay students have proved their academic proficiency and ability to take initiative, through successful participation in various projects throughout the year. Their achievements include:

    • Research papers for Applied Business Course
    • Group 4 projects in the areas of ecology, environment, and climate change
    • IB CAS projects
    • Recycling project to make the school more environmental friendly
    • Participation in Business Studies intensive revision courses
    • Medical School visits and guest lectures at Exeter and Plymouth
    • Internships for students aiming for Medicine, Law

    There are so many interesting and exciting places around Torbay that it’s a challenge to visit them all! Our Activities Coordinator will help students see as many sites and attractions as possible during their time at the school, including:

    • Fossil Walk and Jurassic Coast Expereince

    The clubs and activities at Torbay reflect the diversity and broad interests of its multinational student community. Our students have helped develop a full and varied programme of clubs and activities that caters to the whole school, for example:
