EF International Academy New York - Student Life

Student clubs and sports programmes are extremely active at EF International Academy New York. The American spirit is alive and well, with students commonly launching their own clubs, and initiating their own charitable projects with the encouragement of EF staff. Students have also enjoyed excursions to nearby landmarks such as the Federal Reserve and even Harvard University.

Off-campus, student life is just as active, with weekend trips to Manhattan or volunteer projects in Tarrytown itself. In the past students have worked on a “Go Green EF” project that was aimed at designing and building a small windmill generator that will provide energy for a spotlight on the campus.

In the EF dormitories, house parents and teachers provide 24-hour support and mentorship, and ensure a safe home away from home for all students. Those choosing to live with host families will enjoy immersing themselves in the local community culture, and will further benefit from in-home access to their English speaking host families.
