Exchange year in Ireland

On a High School Year in Ireland you will be surrounded by youthful cities, beautiful scenery and some of the warmest, funniest people on earth. You will make new friends and learn English in a place that is truly unique.

The Emerald Isle

Ireland is home to some of Europe’s most vibrant and fun cities, such as Dublin and Cork, which are filled with young people, music venues and hip fashion boutiques. It is also a country of great beauty, with rolling green hills, medieval castles and stunning seascapes. It is a country where you can ride a horse in the afternoon and go dancing and singing at the pub – not to be confused with a bar – later that night.

Friendly Irish people have the “gift of the gab”

In English, the word “gab” means to talk easily and fluidly. Many people say the Irish have “a gift of the gab,” which means they are good conversationalists. They can talk to anyone about anything. You will find this to be true. Irish people love good stories and good jokes. They are warm, friendly and welcoming, and you will not be in Ireland for a day before they start talking to you and telling you stories. You will make friends and learn English the Irish way: by talking, listening and having fun. By the time your student exchangein Ireland is over, you, too, will have a gift of the gab.
