What is the EF Diploma in Business and Management?
This is a degree-level program that will prepare you for entry to the second year of a UK undergraduate program in a business or management related field – in just one year. All university bachelor’s degrees in the UK require international students to study an additional year of schooling, known as a University Foundation Year. This diploma combines this extra year of secondary education with the first year of a bachelor’s degree. The result is an intensive 11-month program that allows you to enter the second year of an undergraduate degree after one year instead of two. You will save on program fees, accommodation and living expenses; more importantly, you will be in the workplace a year earlier to start earning money and seeking out crucial promotions.
Validated and recognized program
The EF Diploma in Business and Management Program is validated by the University of Wales and leads to a University of Wales Certificate in Higher Education. It is recognized by a large number of UK universities who accept successful graduates onto the second year of their undergraduate degrees.

Program Details
What is this program?
This program has 30 lessons (20 hours per week) in the first 16 weeks, and 22 lessons (15 hours per week) in the remaining 30 weeks to prepare high school graduates aged 17+ for entry to the second year of a UK undergraduate program. Students must attend at least 90% of classes and the overall passing grade is 40% with no less than 40% in each module. Take this program to progress directly onto the second year of a business related Bachelor degree in the UK.
Program length
11 months, start dates in August and January. There is also a fast-track option available (final 30 weeks only) for students who have completed an EF University Foundation Year, A-Levels, IB or equivalent.

English requirement
IELTS score of 5.5, TOEFL 525 PBT/ 194 CBT/ 71 IBT. Students need to reach IELTS 6.0 to start stage two in the final 30 weeks.
