EF Advanced Diploma in English for Online Marketing

High-caliber English language studies meet today's world of information trade. You'll earn US university transfer credit and prepare for a successful online future.

Program Profile:

Secure US university transfer credit for future studies
Take all required Hult-credit courses during your nine-month program and earn up to 15 university transfer credits. On the six-month program, you'll earn up to 9 transfer credits by completing all the Hult-approved courses.

Study on a university affiliated program
Challenge your English by taking subject courses that are offered at the first-year university level. Benefit from a professional program of study that draws on the distinguished experience of Hult International Business School, which was named by the Financial Times to the list of 100 Top Business Schools in 2011.

Earn an EF Advanced Diploma or Advanced Certificate
The EF Advanced Diploma is awarded to students following a nine-month or eleven-month program.
The EF Advanced Certificate is awarded to students following a six-month program.

Core Credit Courses

The Online Marketing program includes five electives and two required courses (see below). Availability may vary.

General English Studies
At the basis of every EF Advanced Diploma Program is a solid course of ongoing General English study at the student's individual level of language placement. This course develops students' English proficiency to promote independent communication, confidence, and cirtical thinking. This is a required course.

Introduction to Online Marketing Studies
This is a required foundation course for the EF Advanced Diploma Program. It is offered during the first term. Valuable tools will be taught to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills for communicating in the virtual world of online marketing and social media. Lessons will be taught in the context of a long-term online marketing project and will survey valuable academic, professional and international topics.

Key Concepts of Online Marketing
This required, first-term foundation course for onling marketing is designed to assist students in becoming competent and proficient in the principles and application of online marketing and social media. Students will learn to develop, craft and apply online media best practices to a variety of situations, while honing vital written communication skills.

Introduction to Marketing
The objective of this couse is to introduce students to key marketing concepts and allow them to understand the role which marketing plays in today's world. During the course students will study and analyze marketing problems facing different businesses. The foundations of marketing covered in this course will serve as a basis for in-depth study of online marketing issues.

Digital Marketing and Mass Media
This course will introduce students to the essentials of marketing, covering theory and real practice. The course is designed to assist students in becoming versed in principles and practice of marketing using both traditional and digital methods. Students will learn the planning and execution of a marketing campaign using a variety of methods.

Journalism and Media Studies
This course is designed to build both a theoretical and practical foundation in journalism skills. The curriculum is designed to enhance all four language skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking - so that students become more effective consumers and communicators of mass communication.

Business Fundamentals
Key business topics will be examined in this course, which will provide topic focused lessons to survey various fields and functions of international business and the corporate world. Communication lessons explore strategies and knowledge needed to interact successfully in business environments.

    Admissions   

    Placement test
    Before being accepted to the program, you will be required to take an admissions placement test. You will need to test into the Common European Framework for Language Reference (CEFR) Level B2 for the Online Marketing Program.

    High School Diploma or equivalent
    In order to be eligible for US university transfer credit, you will need to submit a copy of your high school diploma equivalent.
