School classes from around the world participate in an English level test
Zurich, November 3rd 2012 - EF Education First, the world’s largest private education organization, has launched the first-ever EF Global English Challenge. High school teachers from around the world will test the English level of their students and the top ten classes in each country will be featured in a worldwide ranking.
Following the extraordinary interest raised by the publication of the English Proficiency Index, EF is now taking its respected English tests to the classroom to assess the level of school groups from around the world. Teachers can register their class on www.ef.com/englishchallenge to get access to the free on-line English test.
“With the growing importance of English for the students’ academic and professional development, we wanted to give teachers a tool to measure and compare their English levels with other classes from around the world.” says Dr. Christopher McCormick, Vice President for Academic Affairs at EF.
Teachers can register their class on www.ef.com/englishchallenge to get access to the free on-line English test. The competition started this week and teachers can now test their classes until December 23rd. On January 9th the winners of the competition will be announced. All participating classes will get the chance to win a free trip to attend the EF Global English Challenge course in spring in April 2012.
